|Thanksgiving Day Wildland Fire|
|November 28, 2019|
Just before Noon Thanksgiving Day, Attack 91 was dispatched to the 1190 blk of Cherrington Ln in Lower Paxton Township for a reported natural cover fire caused by downed power lines. Units from Lower Paxton arrived to find roughly 1.5 acres of fire burning in the woods behind the addresses. Wildland certified firefighters from Attack 91 helped contain the fire and multiple hotspots with rakes, chainsaws, & backpack water tanks. High wind speed and changing direction played a major factor in containing the fire. Crews were out for roughly 1 hour before returning to service.
